Walther .40

Very very nice pistol. I would prefer a mag button though, I don't like grabbing near the trigger to drop a mag. Recoil super light, very visible sights, super balance and feel. This replaces my Colt .38 snub for concealed carry. It's light enough it doesn't drag my pants down...

Good overall

Thin, relatively light, and packs a punch. Seems to shoot low every few rounds - probably the ammo. Otherwise, I've gone through a few hundred rounds with no malfunctions. Handles hollow points well.

Excellently built, and extremely accurate for a short barrel. Very tight at first, and recoil is substantial with higher grain loads, but still quite manageable...1.04" in width makes it perfect as my concealed carry pistol. Absolutely satisfied here...

Walther 9mm PPS

Wow, nice piece. Pro's - Great accuracy for a short barrel, very light, very thin and it handles very well. Conceals easily due to dimensions, after handling this gun and shooting it, it is now replacing a 3" .45 auto for CC. Shoots great, recoil is pretty mild. Con's - brass ejects at your head once in a while. Overall - Excellent choice for concealed carry, and my new carry piece.

A welcome addition to my family of Walthers. Perfect concealed carry, fits my hand like a driving glove, and those 40s fit a tight group like a competition pistol. It performed flawlessly from the first clip and is now my favorite. It''s going to take a week to get the smile off my face. Michael O''Brien

Beautiful Gun..

Rating: Beautiful Gun..
I just bought the Walther PPS .40 cal. I have read many reveiws and many of then say that the Walther PPS is broken in after around 400 rounds. I have had the chance to fire my first 150 rounds today. I spent about 30 minutes at the range with two 7 round magazines. I had not one failure. Gun performed beautiful. After about 75 rounds I took the slide out and inspected the barrel and components. Everything looked great. Nive and clean. After all 150 rounds were fired I felt the gun start to break in and I began to get a real feel for the gun. Very Nice Gun. v

I recently sold my Springfield XD40 subcompact so I could buy the Walther PPS 40. The Springfield was a little too wide for me to carry on my side like I prefer. I thought the Walther would have more recoil than the Springfield due to the fact that it way less but it actually has less recoil! 300 rounds with no failure. This is an excellent weapon!

Great Weapon

I carry a Glock 27 on duty and carried a 19 off duty until shot the pps 40 cal. I am so impressed with the profile of the weapon as an off duty carry it makes the glock seem ancient and bulky. I have put about 600 rounds through it since July 2010 with zero failures. Hands down the best weapon I own and I have approximately 60 hand guns. This weapon is highly recommended by myself and two other commanders here as off duty carries. The down side is and there always is one, wish it came with two mags. Terry

Walther PPS .40 cal

As an ex-spec. ops I was looking for something I can carry, conceal, and not feel weighted down all day long. The Walther PPS .40 cal fit the bill perfectly. Its slim design and light weight are perfect for an ankle holster, boot top, or just behind the back. Performance wise, right out of the box I shot a 1 6 shot group @ 15 yds and fired a 2 rapid fire group at 10 yds from a sitted position. Even long range for its short 3.2 barrel I was able to aqcuire and knock down 1st shot targets at 45-50 yds]not what it was intended for but nice to have that confidence.[ Excellant back up weapon!!

I like this gun. Kind of reminds me of my Glock 23 except this is designed for CC so it''s VERY narrow ]1 wide[. It has a trigger safety like a Glock so if it''s your backup it operates the same - very handy in an emergency. It''s also pretty easy to field strip like the Glock. When I bought, the picture online showed the 5-round magazine without the fingerrest. But it comes with a 6-round magazine with the fingerrest. I bought a 5-round mag also for better CC but haven''t used it yet. The PPS seems a bit more accurate than my Glock 23 ].40 cal[ with the same ammo. I just had to adjust a bit for windage. Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the last round in some magazines doesn''t fully load and you have to give it a push. But this gun was SO tight when I got it, I expect it will loosen up a bit after a few hundred rounds. Happy with this purchase.

Walther PPS .40 - flawless.

I previously owned a Kahr CW45 which is a very comfortable gun in my hand, and the reason I bought it was the slim profile as I carry daily. My other carry gun is a S&W Airweight .357 ]small, but still a little bulky for IWB carry[. I''ve wanted the PPS since I first saw it as, needless to say, it''s REALLY slim. Very comfortable for IWB carry. It cost a couple hundred more than the Kahr, but I got what I paid for... over 250 rounds right out of the box and not one failure to feed or eject. Yes the magazines are spendy - I ordered a spare 7 round clip. But they slide in precisely, smoothly and lock solidly into position. It''s taking a little more time for me to shoot well with it than with the Kahr, but by shooting from a rest I can tell that''s just operator issues. I only wish they made it in a .45.

I purchased the PPS .40 cal for my concealed carry weapon. It looks great, fits my hand like a glove and the slim design makes concealment easy. I have only fired about 150 rounds with it but, I have been hitting center mass since the 5th magazine. I love this weapon.

I Purchased one of the 1st Pk-380''s to come into Town on 10-15-09. I traded my Ruger LCP in on it because of the long trigger pull & lack of accuracy that I did NOT like.. This Walther is one of the Most Accurate pistols that I own & it Ranks up there with my Sig''s & Gold Cup!!! The PK has the Hammer that I Prefer on my Pistols because of Double action 1st shot, then a light 2Lb trigger pull until your clip it empty. This helps with Accuracy at long distance shots or up close..

Traded my Glock 27 and a little cash for this firearm. Great accuracy for barrel length. Excellent concealability. Few reliabilty issues though. Upgraded ammo and problems solved. Trigger guard magazine release is awkward at first. Overall a really nice handgun. Just use high end ammo and practice with the release.
